FAQ

Ordering & Production

How long does it take to receive my wheels?

Schmidt wheels are made to order in Germany. Current production lead time is 3–6 weeks from order confirmation, plus transit time to your location. We'll send you a tracking notification as soon as your order ships.

How does the ordering process work?

Once you place your order, it is submitted directly to Schmidt for production in your specified size, offset, and finish. Because each set is built to your exact configuration, orders cannot be modified after confirmation. Please double-check your fitment details before completing checkout.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

Due to the made-to-order nature of Schmidt wheels, cancellations and changes are not accepted once production has begun. If you have an urgent concern, contact us immediately at our contact page and we will do our best to assist.

Fitment & Sizing

How do I know which size and offset is right for my vehicle?

Getting fitment right is critical. We recommend using our built-in calculators before ordering:

If you're still unsure, contact us with your year, make, model, and any suspension modifications and we'll help you dial in the right spec.

What bolt patterns are available?

Schmidt wheels are available in a wide range of bolt patterns to fit most European and select domestic vehicles. Refer to individual product pages for available configurations, or contact us for fitment confirmation.

Do you offer custom offsets or center bore drilling?

Yes — Schmidt's made-to-order process allows for custom offsets and center bore specifications on many models. Contact us before ordering to confirm availability for your specific wheel model.

Shipping & Duties

Where do you ship?

We ship Schmidt wheels domestically within the United States and internationally. Shipping rates are calculated by weight at checkout.

Are import duties and tariffs included in the price?

Yes — for Schmidt wheel orders, all applicable import duties and tariffs are included. You will not be charged additional customs fees upon delivery.

How long does shipping take after my wheels are produced?

Transit times vary by destination. Domestic US orders typically arrive within 3–7 business days after shipment. International transit times vary by region. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.

For full details, see our Shipping Policy.

Warranty & Certification

Are Schmidt wheels TüV certified?

Yes. Schmidt wheels carry TüV certification, one of the most rigorous independent safety standards in the automotive industry. This certification validates structural integrity, load ratings, and dimensional accuracy.

What warranty applies to Schmidt wheels?

Schmidt wheels are covered under Schmidt's manufacturer warranty terms. Warranty coverage applies to structural defects under normal use and does not cover damage from road hazards, improper installation, or misuse. Contact us with any warranty concerns and we will coordinate with Schmidt on your behalf.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I return or exchange made-to-order wheels?

Because Schmidt wheels are produced to your exact specifications, they are non-returnable and non-exchangeable unless they arrive damaged or with a verified manufacturing defect. Please verify your fitment carefully before ordering.

What if my wheels arrive damaged?

If your wheels arrive with shipping damage or a manufacturing defect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

For full details, see our Returns Policy.

Wheel Care & Finish Maintenance

How do I care for RADINOX (stainless steel) finishes?

RADINOX wheels feature a brushed stainless steel finish that is highly resistant to corrosion. Clean regularly with a pH-neutral wheel cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, iron fallout removers with high acid content, and prolonged exposure to road salt without rinsing.

How do I maintain hand-polished finishes?

Hand-polished wheels require more frequent attention to maintain their mirror-like appearance. Use a dedicated aluminum or chrome polish and a soft applicator pad. Avoid automatic car washes with harsh brushes. A protective wax or sealant applied after polishing will extend the finish between maintenance sessions.

Can polished or RADINOX wheels be refinished?

Yes — we offer professional wheel rebuilding and refinishing services. Visit our Professional Wheel Rebuilding page for details.
